Purpose:
To provide safe, free child-care for parents who might not otherwise be able to have some free time or have the funds available for child-care.
General Plan:
Have competent and registered church members provide free childcare – one Friday night per month. R.S.V.P. and full registration is required. Please register by filling out the registration form online.
Staff:

Pastor: Andy Woodall. The pastor’s responsibility is to provide direction and oversight to this ministry.

Coordinator: Clarence and Tonya Sanders. The coordinator is responsible for all scheduling, training, and communication with the volunteer staff to ensure safe, fun child-care during the “First Fridays”.

Key leaders: Susan and Jim Markins and Brannon and Deanne . The key leaders are volunteers put in charge, by the coordinator, of a particular age group of kids during the “First Fridays”.

Function of the staff: There will be a rotation of registered teen and adult church members to provide safe, fun child-care. Cost:

We are happy to offer this service free of charge. We do this out of our Love for God and our desire to practically show His love to those in our community, hoping to be an encouragement and assistance to those with infants and children.

There is a $5 registration fee the first time you register your child. This covers processing and an ID card for your infant or child. This fee will occur each time you need to update information and receive a new ID card.

After registering there are no additional costs for this child-care service unless penalties occur.
Registration:

Forms available online or at Faith Community Center.

Every child must be pre-registered by a parent or legal guardian one full week prior to participating in the First Friday child-care.

Registration includes the following:

Turn in completed a medical form
-
Turn in completed information form
-
Turn in completed emergency contact information card
-
Turn in a 1x1 picture (face shot) of your child (simple cropped picture)

Turn in $5 (made out to Faith Community Ministries with “First Friday” in the memo line) for processing and ID card.
Check-in:

You can only check in if you have registered your child one week prior to that First Friday. This is for safety reasons and for the purpose of our staff being able to best serve those who will be receiving this childcare service.

A parent or legal guardian must sign/check each child into our care (and sign/check them out each First Friday).

The parent or guardian is responsible to write down on the check in board any important details of health, schedule, care, allergies, etc. that is pertinent or necessary for the childcare workers to know.
Safety and Security:

Each infant/child will receive an ID tag that will match a card the parent receives (after filling out the registration info.). This ID card given to the parent/guardian will received the first night you bring your infant/child to the First Friday ministry (Reminder: This assumes you will have registered your infant/child one week prior to the First Friday.

Safety and security is a major concern and priority for us. If you have legal situations, custody issues, or other security challenges with your infant/child please make sure you communicate this both on your information form and on your sign/check-in sheet by putting a star by your infant/child’s name (this will be located on your ID card also.

Those with special security issues (listed in the second bullet) will have the names of people clearly prohibited from being around your infant or child listed on the ID card.
