What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo means “Way of Hand and Foot", and uses a powerful system of hand strikes, blocks and kicks as a means of self-discipline, physical conditioning, and self-defense. Taekwondo
is the Korean martial art that is used as the foundation for the Faith Community
Center Martial Arts Program. The
FCC Martial Arts Program is intended as a family-oriented time of exploring the
Martial Arts. Our Martial Arts Program is biblically based and refrains from teaching any Eastern mysticism which may be commonly associated with the martial arts. Martial
Arts is a great way to get fit in all aspects of your physical and mental
well-being: flexibility,
cardio-vascular, self-defense, awareness, focus, respect, honor, persistence,
coordination, agility, and even weight
loss.
